Amazan

The legendary ancestor or “Forest Mother” of the Adyge people (Circassians), depicted as a fierce warrior-princess—in some versions of the tale she is said to have been the daughter of a king—who led her people in battle. She is also known as “the Forest Mother,” from whose blood the first healing spring is said to have arisen. The OC’s Grandmother of Dreams holds this rank.
